Incidents in both custody and community corrections are recorded. Each incident contains links to all the offenders and staff involved in the incident, as well as to narrative reports from different officers and supervisors describing or commenting on the incident. The incident window lists all of the offenders involved in an incident, and the person window lists all of the incidents an offender is involved in.

Property. Niche COMS tracks inmate property by maintaining a list of property held by the institution and the inmate, with provision for tracking items that are sent home or otherwise disposed of. The system also tracks inmate trust accounts, making the inmate's current account balance available to unit or canteen staff, or any other personnel who require it.

Billing for services (e.g., for out-of-jurisdiction prisoners) is accomplished by running data extract queries to generate the offender lists and dates needed.
