Niche Technology Inc. is a private corporation based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with branch offices in Toronto, Ontario; Calgary, Alberta; and Victoria, British Columbia. Niche was founded in 1992 and is wholly owned by its senior management. Installations of Niche law-enforcement software began in 1995. Since 1995, Niche has focused entirely on developing and selling Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) law-enforcement software.

Our large and diverse customer base provides broad domain experience and exposure, essential for developing COTS products successfully. In Canada our largest fully operational installation supports 48 police services and 8500 officers sharing a single database. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are currently rolling out Niche RMS as their new national Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS). Niche systems are in use in over 80 police services in Canada, United Kingdom, Caribbean and the USA.
